5 beauty resolutions for 2022
At CHADO Cosmetics, we believe the new year is a time to start fresh. Forget all of your past beauty mistakes and focus on doing better for the next 365 days. We've all made resolutions in the past, which very often never last past mid-February, but this year is different. Instead of making unachievable resolutions focus on these five simple ones to kick start your beauty routine and set the tone for 2022.
1. Always Remove Your Makeup
We all know how tempting it is to go to bed after a long day or a long night without removing our makeup or cleansing our skin because we can barely keep our eyes open. And you've probably thought, like all of us, that it wasn't that big of a deal you'll just double cleanse in the morning. But it doesn't quite work like that. While you sleep, your makeup can mix with the dirt and oil built up throughout the day on your skin, clog your pores and cause breakouts. We're not telling you to do a 10 step night-time routine. On such days, simply swipe your face with a cotton pad soaked in micellar water.
2. Add Brow & Lash Care To Your Routine
It's no surprise that this is part of our resolutions for 2022 as we started our brand to create products that will enhance and celebrate natural beauty. Taking care of your eyebrows means they will be thicker and fuller. Simply ensure you apply a nourishing and strengthening oil in the evening before bed. As for your eyelashes, to obtain long, voluminous and fluttering lashes without mascara or lash extensions, use a daily serum and watch your lashes change in the span of a couple of weeks.
3. Read Ingredient Labels
Learning how to read cosmetic labels and understand ingredients is important because it will help make better-informed decisions whenever you buy or use a product. Most importantly, be ready to spot inconsistencies. Often when a product is labelled as cruelty-free, it simply refers to the product, not necessarily the ingredients. The product itself might not be tested on animals, but some components might. Make sure you research the safe ingredients to use and choose brands that align with your values.
4. Wash Your Makeup Brushes
Makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria and dirt. If you don't clean them often, you'll be smearing bacteria all over your skin every time you apply makeup. Having dirty makeup brushes can therefore cause breakouts and other skin infections. The optimist in us would want to tell you to wash your brushes at least once a week. However, we aim to stick to these resolutions, so 2-3 times a month is a good way to start.
5. Be Consistent With Your Skincare Routine
Consistency is key when it comes to skincare. You don't need a 10 step routine every day, stick to 3 or 4 key ones. Just make sure you do them every single day. Then, on the days where you have a little more time, consider anything you add as a bonus to your usual routine. Results won't happen overnight, so make sure you stick to your routine, and you'll be amazed.
While these may not seem too difficult to follow, the trick is to ensure you last all year long to see results and enhance your natural beauty.
